Birkenstock use the best European hides, a full-grain leather with a softly buffed surface to create a velvety finish. Apply water and stain protector before wearing and after each clean. Avoid wax polish as this will damage the special finish. Clean and revive the look with a nubuck block. The cork footbeds come with a light coating of sealant to prevent them from drying out. When the cork no longer looks shiny apply a thin coat of cork sealant to prolong the life of your Birkenstocks.
